Pattern Tree with Owls Wall Decals

  
We've been busy here in the studio.  We're having so much fun with our new printer!  

My favorite new material is a polyester fabric material with adhesive backing.  It's so versatile and the colors are so bright and vibrant.  It's child and earth friendly and super way to use, just peel and stick. 

Today I want to share with you a couple of my favorite designs.  

This cute Whimsical Pattern Tree with Owl on Branch Wall Decal with patterned leaves and a sweet owl on a tree branch make such a huge impact in your child's room of playroom!  It has the prettiest pinks, greens and aqua blues in lots of fun patterns.

Of course, every child needs their name in their room so I designed this Name Decal to coordinate the whimsical tree with the same fun patterns and pretty colors.

You know I wouldn't forget the boys out there!  I think we are going to make this Tree with Boy Owl Fabric decal for Eli when we redecorate his bedroom this summer.  I love the blues, greens and browns in this one!

 All of our fabric wall decals come on a sheet similar to this.  Just peel the pieces off and place as you would like.  Kids LOVE to help with this.  No worries, since they are reusable, if you don't like the placement, just lift and stick again.  Moving soon?  Keep the backing paper and when you are ready, just peel the decals off the wall and place them back on the backing.  They'll be ready to reapply!

What's Growing in Your Yard?

James and I love to start our morning with a stroll (with coffee, of course!) to survey our kingdom (no reason we can't call a half acre in a subdivision our kingdom, right?)  Plants grow so fast here in North Carolina that you can literally see a difference from day to day.  This morning our yard kingdom was particularly beautiful. The sun was just coming up and shining through the leaves of the trees that surround our home.  There was a heavy dew last night so everything was glistening and sparkly, (and you know how much I adore sparkly!) so I ran in and grabbed my camera so I could share with you.   Feel free to pretend you are strolling the kingdom with me as you scroll through these pics :)

We always start in the flower garden because it's my favorite spot.

After the flower garden, we mosey on over to the pear tree and make sure the *%^#@! squirrels haven't robbed us of our pears like they did our strawberries.

 Then we head over to the vegetable garden.  I love having a veggie garden.  Nothing, and I mean NOTHING is better than fresh picked tomatoes and basil.  Speaking of tomatoes we have over 50 tomato plants this year.  The boys and I decided to plant them from seed this year and let me tell you, a packet of tomato seeds go a long, long, long way!  Two packets of tomato seeds goes even longer.  We had so many tomato plants even after giving many of them away to anyone who would take them that we planted them in our landscaping!

Still Laundry Room Dreaming

This is a post I shared in July of 2010.  Yes, it has taken me almost two years to, as I say in the last line of the post, "figure out what to do in there and get it done" but our bathroom/laundry area renovation is in progress!  I will be posting before and during pics tomorrow.  In the mean time, enjoy my laundry room dreams.


Before we left for Tybee Island I started another project... no, I haven't finished the other 1004 projects that I am working on but I started a new one anyway.  This is a combo project because it involves two rooms.  Actually, one room with three closets.  Our main bathroom has our laundry area in it.  Laundry area is probably misleading, it's pretty much a laundry closet.  It is just about the worst area of our home.  It has cement gray accordian style "doors" (don't look at me, the previous owners can take credit for those beauties!) and is just large enough for the washer and dryer, that is it.  It's good points or should I say point (singular) is that is has lots of room above the washer and dryer for storage which is something that we desperately need around here.

So, I am ready to tackle the bathroom, laundry area and two linen closets.  The laundry area just needs something done with the walls and the hanging bar removed and a couple more shelves put in.  The linen closets (one of which is almost empty thanks to my over-planning a couple weekends ago) are in need of some type of organization.  I still can't figure out what I want to put where.  I have already moved all the sheets to their respective bedrooms (don't know why it took me so long to figure that one out!) and all of our cleaning supplies are in a basket in the hallway waiting for a home.

The bathroom is a project that may have to wait a while.  James just isn't ready to play along yet.   He would much rather spend his summer free time riding bikes, going to the beach and playground and other fun things with the kids than replacing the vanity and faucet and installing beadboard and as much as I hate to admit it, I need his help with some of the projects that I want to do in there.
