Barn Stars

You know how much I love sharing cool finds with you, right?  Well, I've been wanting to share with you these sweet barn stars for about a year.

Seriously... a year.

These things take time, ya know.  Don't judge.  I am just a little behind, ask my BFF, she still hasn't gotten the present that I bought for her birthday in April of 2009 (it got lost in our back room...then found and sat on my desk for months....again, don't judge).

Anyway.... I found this Etsy shop Lil' Miss Crafty Pants (what a cute name) and fell in love with her stars.  But none of them matched my home so I sent her this pic of our dining room

and asked her if she could come up with some that matched and looky looky at what she came up with

Aren't they gorgeous?  I love them.  She was so sweet and easy to work with too.

Are you wondering why I used her pic from the listing instead of a pic of them here in action?  Well, when we did our board and batten project last month, (that I am still referring to as our childbirth project, more on that later) they were taken down and put in the back room.  Hopefully it won't take me a year to find them.

Here are a few new things in her shop

Board and Batten

James and I truly must be gluttons for punishment.  Actually, I am and he just goes along with my foolishness.

Smack dab in the middle of our website's busiest weekend and the beginning of a very busy month we decided it was time to board and batten our living/dining area.  Not five or six feet worth of wall but more than 55 feet!

Sounds crazy, right?  Yeah, it was, it took us two whole days, mostly because I kept adding little projects like painting furniture (hey we had the white paint out!).

But it looks awesome!

I haven't had time to take a bunch of pics but here are a couple sneak peak pics.

I'll post more pics when I can.  In the mean time check out Traci's B & B project!  Love, love, LOVE it!

Holiday Gift ideas

Wall decals make great gifts!  But, of course, we all know that!  I mean, they are personal, inexpensive and fun!  What more could you want in a gift?

Our chalkboard tags are a perfect gift for teachers or co-workers

and everyone has a girl (little or big) on her shopping list who would love a Fancy Frame Monogram

How about a Personalized Movie Theater decal for your hubby to put in his Man Cave?

Or a Personalized Family Monogram for your Mom?

So, you already knew that wall decals are the perfect gift but did you know that we will gift wrap them for you and ship them to the recipient?

All our decals come wrapped in icy blue tissue paper sealed with a cute sticker.

Inside is a tag that reads "Merry Christmas" (if you prefer "Happy Holidays" just let me know).

We'll even write a personalize note for you so the recipient knows who loves them enough to send them a beautiful wall decal from Leen the Graphics Queen!
