New Monkeys in Tree Designs On Sale!

I've had a lot of requests for our cute monkeys in trees so I made some time today to design a couple.  I made this one that is gender neutral

and this one that has girl monkeys with flowers in their hair.

Win a Chalkboard Decal!

We are loving our new chalkboard vinyl.  Don't get me wrong, we are crazy about the other chalkboard vinyl that we use for tags but this new vinyl is repositionable and you can use it on walls!  Why use chalkboard paint and have to sand it and repaint when you are done with it when you can use a decal that peels right off when you are ready to put it somewhere else?!

Our challenge now is to narrow it down to four or five choices we will offer on our site (besides squares and circles, we will definitely be offering those).  Should we offer this one?

or this one?

 this one is nice too!

Want to help?  Tell us which three chalkboard decals you like the best on the poll below! Click on the pics to enlarge.

And you know we love giveaways so here's a fun one!  After voting for your three favorites, mention our poll (link to this post please) on Twitter, Facebook, your blog, or just about anywhere else for an entry into our contest.  Leave a comment here for each of the above that you do (including voting) and we will randomly select one person to receive a FREE Chalkboard Decal of their choice!

Sale is almost over!

Hi friends!

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  I was sick all day yesterday but enjoyed a day on the couch with my littlest who is also sick.  We read and watched cartoons all day.  Today I dragged my sick self to church because it was "Children's Sabbath" and the children' group was singing and I couldn't miss seeing my Jamie :)

The response to our Birthday sale has been amazing!  You all sure do love a sale :)
All items on our site are 25% off!
Our popular cherry blossom branch decal is normally $60 and is on sale for $45

Just a reminder that the sale ends at midnight tonight!
Hope the rest of your weekend is great!

My Old Man

Just kidding, he's not that old!  He's 41 today!

He doesn't look at day over 40, does he? Just kidding, he seems to get better looking as we age and me...not so much!

I think that all this great guy wants for his birthday is to go fishing.  So after serving him breakfast in bed I am going to load the canoe, a basket of snacks and drinks and his fishing gear in the truck and send him to the waterway to relax for a few hours.

While he's out there enjoying the quiet and fishing (notice I didn't say catching), Eli will be helping me out in the studio

and he says it's time for a sale (Can't argue with that face!)

So, now through Sunday night everything on our site is marked 25% off! Even our newest design, featuring an adorable sock monkey

Woo-hoo! Let's hear it for birthday sales!

Happy Birthday to the most wonderful husband & father ever!

Crazy week

Oh boy, what a week we are having here at the Curinga home!  And it's only Wednesday morning!  Things are always crazy around here, as crazy as you would expect in a house with three busy boys, two work-at-home parents and one old constantly shedding dog.  But this week the craziness is over the top.

This guy is sick.   Had a fever of 103.3 last night.  Scared me out of my wits.  It's 8:30 am now and he and Daddy are still sleeping, they never sleep this late.  It was a loooooong night.  A trip to the doctor is on their agenda for today.

This guy has to have a mysterious lump removed tomorrow.  Vet says he's not sure what it is but he is sure that it isn't just a fatty cyst.  Once again, I am scared out of my wits.

This guy has the PSAT today.  I know he'll do well.  But even though he tries to hide it, I know he's a little nervous (but not scared out of his wits!).

I have a Midterm in my Geology class on Friday.  Yup, you guessed it, scared out of my wits!  I do not like tests, especially tests that are a big portion of your final grade in your very last college class.  If I don't do well on this midterm I probably won't pass the class which means I won't graduate in December which means I will have to retake the entire class in the Spring semester... you get the idea!

Speaking of Friday,  it will be this guys birthday!!  I think getting Boomer home from the vet that day will be present enough but I wish I had another idea too.  He's so hard to shop for.  I am sure I will figure out something.

Thankfully, this guy has nothing crazy going on besides his regular busy schedule of school, youth group, golf, that sort of thing.

Saturday we will be at the Bluegrass and Barbecue Festival at Hampstead United Methodist Church.  Should be a great time with Music by local bands, BBQ with all the fixin's, Bake sale, Games for kids, Hay Rides, Face painting, Dunking Booth, Cake walk and more!
I'll be rocking the face painting booth.  If you are in the area, stop by and I will hook you up with a lion or flower or something (I've never done face painting before, I hope I don't make any small children cry!)

Yeah, so between sick kids, a mysteriously lumpy dog, a birthday, major tests, sports, youth groups, festivals, a business to run, and school, we really have nothing going on :)

New Mini Decals

I am so excited to show you what I call "mini-decals".  They are so neat!  You can put them on windows, plates, platters, canisters...just about any flat surface.  I have these all over my house; I love them!
Most of them come in a set of five for $18 with free shipping!
Here's a sample of our coffee cafe minis

Families are Forever (this one is larger than the others)

These may be my favorite, the antique silhouettes

 and these sweet leaves

You can even put these on coffee cups and gravy boats!

Can you think of anywhere else you can put these?  I am thinking of putting starfish and sailboats on little galvanized pails on my little guys room.  Wouldn't that be the cutest!?

More Fall Decorating and a Gift

Well, I think we are about done with our fall decorating.  Except for the pumpkins that arrive at our church today all the way from New Mexico.  I will tell you more about that tomorrow.

Here's one (of many) spot that has been taken over by autumn.  It's the top of our tv armoire.  Yes, I did have to stand on a stool to take the pics :)

I am just crazy about the burlap bow.  I have placed several of them around the house.  I even dressed up a tired wreath with one and now it's fabulous once again.

Remember our Give Thanks to the Lord plate that I showed you last week?  We received so many requests for it that we added it to our store.  You can purchase it here for $5 with free US Shipping.

And last but not least, a gift for you!  Every order placed through the month of October will include a free set of these cute bat decals.  You can stick them on any flat surface.  Enjoy!
