This week I am proud to feature an amazing photographer, Lynn Michelle.
You absolutely must check out her website and blog and see her fabulous work!Lynn ordered a few of my damask decals and look what she did with them, she's so clever!

I asked Lynn a few questions about her business, here's what she had to say.
How did you get started photography?
As a computer science major, one of the suggested requirements to graduate was to get involved in an extra curricular activity on campus. I thought the newspaper would be the place for me - I had always been commended for my writing skills and I had just left my post as head of our rogue high school newspaper. The conversation with the editor did not go as planned; she was insistent upon needing a photographer and I just wanted to write. I guess I wore her down, she let me submit a story - a humorous detail about the parking situation at school. It had the laughs, tears, and pizzazz of an award-winning article. It would change the world! But it never got published. Instead, she handed me a camera and ushered me out the door for my first assignment. And that's how I became a photographer. I don't have a great story about growing up with a camera in my hand. My life on the newspaper was an anything but glamorous array of rolled film (yes, I said the f word), developer and deadlines. Here I am 11 [eek] years later and I can say that this is exactly where I want to be and I shoot fabulous people.
How did you discover Etsy?
I don't really remember how I found Etsy, but I do remember thinking "why the heck haven't I found this sooner?!" Etsy has always been THE place that I go to find fantastically unique things for my clients.
What type of equipment do you use?
I'm a Canon shooter, and have been ever since I went digital in 2004. I heart Canon in every way.
Where do you see your business going in the future?
I can't begin to explain how blessed I am, I have THE BEST clients who stick around years after their wedding and continue spread the love about me to everyone they meet. Wherever the business goes, I hope to have these wonderful people around me.
What are your favorite things to photograph?
I specialized in weddings & boudoirs because they were such a great fit for me. It's like showing off an inner secret through a special smile or glance that no one else sees.
At every wedding, there is a moment when the butterflies turn into sheer joy. It can happen at any point in the day: while the bride is walking down the aisle, during the middle of the ceremony, or when they jump into the limo. There's a unique smile that gives it away and you just have to be there to capture it. My boudior photography (Eye Candy) grew out of the simple idea of having sexy, couture images to show off to your significant other. They turned into so much more - it gave my boudoir ladies a way to express the sexy vixen buried inside and to feel incredibly comfortable in their own skin. The ladies love the pampered experience; the men love the sexy swagger that their ladies get afterwards.
Tell me more.
[1] I make up words. You see, I don't feel like I am a complicated person but I can't seem to find any combination of words that will make you jump up and give me a call. I'm one of those people you can't really sum up with words. I think I might actually require a sound. [2] I make up sounds. I love music and my husband likes to tell me that I have strange taste in music. [3] I have a husband [4] and cats [5] and I do my best writing while listening to Nirvana. [6] I'm listening to "Lithium" right now, actually. [7] I build my own computers; this one has two dual core processors and has made it over a year without being reimaged. That's a record. Ok, my husband actually physically builds the computers. I write the software and take credit for the whole shabang. I am quite handy with power tools, though. [8] That's true. I'm an active member of PPA, Modern Photographers and JWI. [9] I'm still listening to Nirvana. [10] I tried to end on an odd number but it felt ... odd.
Thanks so much for everything Lynn, it has been a pleasure getting to know you! Here are a few of Lynn's favorite pics~
